NBC and Bill Cosby have sealed a deal for a new multi-generational sitcom starring Cosby. Tom Werner and Cosby will executive produce the as yet untitled NBC comedy. The project is expected to premiere in the summer or fall of 2015. According to Deadline , in the series, Cosby stars as Jonathan Franklin, a patriarch of a multi-generational family who shares his many years of wit, wisdom and experience to help his daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren navigate their complicated lives.
Cosby also portrayed the patriarch of the Huxtable family on the NBC sitcom “The Cosby Show”, which aired for eight seasons between 1984 and 1992.
