Although Neymar, Jozy Altidore, Luis Suarez and other soccer stars participating in FIFA’s World Cup were recently featured in a Beats by Dre commercial video, World Cup players have been banned from wearing Beats By Dre headphones. Citing FIFA's licensing deal with Sony, the ban comes after the release of last week’s Beats by Dre, World Cup Commercial, which to date has generated over 17,000,000 views.
Pushing back on the ban, slipping through loopholes, Sony, gave all players participating in the World Cup a free set of headphones.
