Andre Ward Signs With Roc Nation Sports

After years of legal battles and time spent out of the ring, Super Middleweight Champion Andre Ward finally has some good news to share.

Today it was announced that Ward has signed a deal with Roc Nation Sports, making him the biggest name in their recently launched boxing division. After a bitter legal battle with Goossen Promotions, Ward and Roc Nation came together and worked out an agreement for the boxer to part ways with Goossen.

Ward, sporting a record of 27-0 with 14 KOs, is regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, and fans have been dying to see him in the ring again. We sat down with the People's Champ in December of 2013, one of the last big exclusives with the Champ, and discussed his career, his life and his passions.

David Itskowitch, Chief Operating Officer of Roc Nation Sports' boxing division, told ESPN.com "We have signed Andre Ward and it's something we're very excited about. It's just the beginning if us but it's a game game-changer. He's one of the best fighters in the world. Everything is coming together for us. On the same day we are having our first event, at Madison Square Garden, we are announcing our frst really huge signing."

Fans are dying to see what the next steps are for Ward, but for now they're excited that the Champ is free.
