Adrian Peterson to have knee surgery

What was supposed to be a promising season for the Minnesota Vikings has taken another hit, this time to one of the best players in the League.

All World running back, Adrian Peterson, suffered a right knee injury in last week’s game against the Packers, and today it was announced that he would undergo surgery on that knee to repair a torn meniscus.

First it was Teddy Bridgewater, now it’s AP. And even though the Vikings sit at 2-0 without both players, thanks in large part to a swarming defense, the loss of their best player for a significant amount of time (maybe even the season) greatly tempers the expectations for the team this year.
