The ACC Conference has taken action against the entire officiating crew in the Miami vs. Duke game, after blowing multiple calls in a game winning eight lateral touchdown play.
This disastrous loss resulted in the Blue Devils dropping from first place, and may ultimately deal a huge blow in their bowl game hopes. While i commend the ACC and other leagues for releasing statements owning up to officiating mistakes, there should be more action taken against blown calls that effect the outcomes of games. In a situation like this where its the very last play of the game, which should’ve been marked dead, why not reward Duke with the win?
One team that’s not phased by the referees punishment? The ‘Canes.
