Former NFL tight end Aaron Hernandez was found not guilty of murdering two men in 2012. The verdict was returned late Friday afternoon in Suffolk Superior Court. Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu were shot while waiting at stoplight on July 16, 2012 in the early morning hours.
27 year old Aaron Hernandez once had the life of his dreams laid out for him but is currently serving a life sentence for the 2013 murder of aspiring professional football player Oldin Lloyd, who was dating the sister of Hernandez’ finance at the time. Trial deliberation began last week.
But Hernandez didn’t come out unscathed and was found guilty by the jury of unlawful gun possession and given 4-5 years.The verdict came down one day short of the two-year anniversary of Hernandez’ conviction in the Lloyd case.
