After a public back and forth between the Los Angeles Rams and defensive lineman Aaron Donald this offseason, the two sides have reached an agreement.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported that Donald was signing a very strong six-year contract worth $135 million, with $87 million guaranteed.

Long time coming: Rams and Aaron Donald finalizing a record 6-year, $135 million, including $87 million guaranteed, per source. Richest defensive deal in NFL history. Donald now tied to LA for next seven years. And he will be ready for Monday night opener vs. Raiders.
The lineman has had an impressive start to his young career. Donald has had at least eight sacks in every one of his four seasons including 11 sacks in 2015 and 2017. In February, he was named NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year.
Los Angeles couldn’t afford to let such a young, talented player go and they decided they had to pay him.
