Names like Black Jesus, Charles Oakley and Ben Wallace used to make the CIAA the home for ballers, and the CIAA Tournament the one to watch. But over the last few years, the conference, and tournament, has struggled to attract the same caliber of player and hype, particularly in the city of Charlotte. While the city and the conference has catered to those in town for the weekend with nightlife and fan festivals, the tournament has struggled to pack the arena.
