MVP-candidates Cam Newton and Tom Brady headline the 2016 Pro Bowl 88-man roster released by the NFL on Tuesday.
The Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots led the NFL with the most Pro Bowl players, 10 and seven respectively. The game will take place on January 31st at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.
After viewing the roster you will notice several deserving newcomers and annual Pro-Bowlers. You will also witness a few glaring snubs and players whose reputation may have factored greatly into their selection. Jacksonville wide receiver Allen Robinson, for example, is tied for the league lead in TD receptions (13) and ranks seventh in reception yards (1,141) yet was left off the the NFC squad for Calvin Johnson (1,000 yards and 7 TD’s).
Also, the Pro Bowl ratings have been way down over the past few years but you can expect a lot of hype surrounding the game if the Panthers fail to reach the Super Bowl with Josh Norman and Odell Beckham Jr. sharing the field again.
