Michael Keaton is back as a leading man taking on black comedy in the Alejandro González Iñárritu directed film Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance. In the film, Keaton stars as an actor famous for portraying an iconic superhero, as he struggles to mount a Broadway play. In the days leading up to opening night, he battles his ego and attempts to recover his family, career, and himself.
Birdman also stars Emma Stone, Edward Norton, Andrea Riseborough, Zach Galifianakis, Naomi Watts, and Amy Ryan. It’s scheduled to be released in theaters on October 17th 2014.
