Bethune-Cookman 14, SC State 3
This game was billed as the de facto MEAC Championship Game. And if that was the case, you can crown Bethune-Cookman. BCU took control from the opening drive and maintained it throughout. The Wildcats held the Bulldogs to just 143 yards, allowing just a fourth quarter field goal as it improved to 7-1. The loss snapped SC State's five-game winning streak, handing them their first loss since early September against Clemson.
Alcorn State 44, Southern 38 (OT)
Alcorn State (7-2, 5-1) came into this game with a chip on its shoulder, and rightfully so. Most prognosticators, including this one, felt the team's record was more a result of a soft schedule than the mark of a SWAC contender. Well 522 yards and one overtime win later, it's clear that Alcorn State belongs in that category. Alcorn State running back Arnold Walker ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winning score.

Fayetteville State 43, St. Aug 19
Fayetteville State (5-3, 4-1) entered this game with a lot on the line. Not only was it homecoming, but with Shaw breathing down its neck for second place in the CIAA South, FSU needed this win to keep its championship game aspirations alive. The Broncos responded with a big first half, taking a 33-0 lead before the band touched the field for the halftime show. Derek Bryant tossed three touchdowns for FSU.
Benedict 29, Morehouse 26
It's been a tough season at Morehouse, and Saturday's homecoming game was just the latest in a string of disappointments. The Maroon Tigers led 26-19 as late as the mid-fourth quarter, giving almost 20,000 fans at B.T. Harvey reason to believe they were on the verge of their first conference win of the season. But Benedict responded big-time, scoring 10 unanswered points to win via an Eduard Hernadez field goal with 31 seconds remaining. #SadderDay
