According to a report from the New York Post the New York Islanders are taking their talents west to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
When they do move into Barclays they will have the smallest seating capacity of any NHL team, about 14,500. It shouldn’t be a problem since Islanders games average 13,191 fans per game.
What’s more surprising– that the NHL is coming to Brooklyn or that 13,000 people go to a hockey game?
The Comedy Central Twitter feed said it best, “The NHL's New York Islanders are moving to Brooklyn. Finally Brooklyn hockey fans will have their own team to not watch.”
