Michael Strahan has had an amazing career.
After finishing his monster four-year career at Texas Southern University, the Houston native was drafted by the Giants in the second round in the 1993 NFL Draft, where he continued to dominate over the next 15 years, setting the single season sack record (22.5), winning Super Bowl XLII over the Patriots (2007) and being elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.
The 7x Pro Bowler and 2x NFL sacks leader has transitioned over into a highly successful career in media, hosting multiple shows, including his most recent program, “Strahan, Sara and KeKe.”
But Strahan has never forgotten about where he’s come from, or his HBCU roots, and over the weekend he demonstrated that no matter what, he’s still a Tiger.
Per HBCU Gameday, Strahan partnered with X Tech pads to provide new high tech equipment to his Alma matter.

This isn’t the first time that Strahan has shown love for Texas Southern University.
Earlier this year he gave the university a shout out on national television as they prepared to play in the Collegeinsider.com post-season basketball tournament. And in 2014, Strahan announced that he was donating $100,000 to TSU’s marching band, “Ocean of Soul” to help them travel to Canton to attend, and play, at Strahan’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
While the gear didn’t help the Tigers win this past weekend against Prairie View A&M in the Labor Day Classic, Strahan’s continued commitment to his HBCU roots marches on.
Another big thanks to @michaelstrahan & the good folks at @XTECHpads! #TheSauceU #FollowTheDrip pic.twitter.com/9mPdFl6EoR
