With two superstar teams in one building, the Staples Center just snatched the title away from MSG.
NBA free agency has been absolutely crazy since last Sunday, and today the remaining pieces (outside of the Russell Westbrook trade rumors that just surfaced) fell into place.
After the Clippers got added some serious Black star power with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George early this morning, it seemed the Lakers had been outdone.

But then the Lakers added Danny Green with a two-year, $30 million deal, and a few more dominoes fell in line after that.
The Lake show filled out their roster by adding Demarcus Cousins (one year, $3.5 million) and Quinn Cook (two years, $6 million) and then by re-signing Rajon Rondo. This move reunites Boogie Cousins with Anthony Davis, and gives the Lakers a possible starting line up of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Demarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo and Danny Green. With Kyle Kuzma, Quinn Cook, Javale McGee and Kyle Korver coming off the bench, the Lakers have the depth they need to complement their All Star lineup.
So sorry New York and MSG. With all of this star power in LA, the basketball world has shifted from Madison Square Garden and Oakland to the Staples Center, the new Mecca of basketball.
For Knicks fans, that’s yet another “L” they have to deal with.
