The Miami Hurricanes may have dodged one since the NCAA found issues with its own investigation into the Miami athletic program. Apparently former enforcement staff members for the NCAA worked with Nevin Shapiro's attorney to improperly obtain information through a bankruptcy case that didn't involve the NCAA. It's going to take an external review before we know how this story ends for Miami.

JaMarcus Russell doesn't want to be remembered as a bust, so he's going to attempt a comeback to the NFL after missing three seasons. We know Russell is an easy punchline, being overweight and out of shape, the codeine thing, but Russell could have the ultimate redemption story.  Don't sleep on the possibility, either.
