Blackfilm.com reports that the long-awaited big screen reboot of the 1980s action series The Equalizer has been added to the lineup of the 2014 Toronto Film Festival. Directed by noted action film mainstay Antoine Fuqua, The Equalizer stars Denzel Washington, Oliver Nakache and Eric Toledano. Other notable additions include the social comedy Samba, starring Omar Sy. And Black and White, which will star Kevin Costner as a grieving widower involved in a custody battle for his bi-racial granddaughter. Actress Octavia Spencer and actor Anthony Mackie appear in the film as well.
The Toronto International Film Festival begins September 4.
