Rebecca Romijn and Lindy Booth Bring Beauty and Brains to TNT’s new series The Librarian

TNT’s new series “The Librarian” debuts this Sunday, Dec. 7 at 8 pm. ET. It’s an offshoot from TNT‘s successful The Librarian original movies. Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment was behind the three Librarian movies. He's back as co-executive producer along with John Rogers and Noah Wyle.

In the Librarian films, Wyle (ER) starred as Flynn Carsen, who worked for an ancient organization housed under the Metropolitan Public Library, protecting important artifacts such as the Ark of the Covenant and the Spear of Destiny from evil people with bad intentions.

In the premiere he hands the Librarian reins to four newcomers: conservatively-clad counterterrorism agent Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn), brainy and brawny Jake Stone (Christian Kane), young criminal Ezekiel Jones (Australian newcomer John Kim) and the gifted yet conflicted Cassandra Cillian (Lindy Booth).

Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin reprise their roles from the films, and John Larroquette is the new group's caretaker from the Library's Portland office.

Romijn, an ex-supermodel and TV and movie veteran and the Canadian-born Booth are two leading ladies with resumes full of memorable moments and quality acting.

The 42-year-old Romijn started her modeling career in 1991. She modeled for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Victoria's Secret, bebe, Miller Lite beer, and for Anna Molinari, Victoria's Secret and Giorgio Armani on the runway, along with legends Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss,Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington.

Her transition to movies has been effortless as she is considered one of Hollywood’s leading ladies. Romijn recently starred in the Tyler Perry romantic comedy “Good Deeds.” She was a co-star and played a transsexual male in the ABC hit series “Ugly Betty” and she is most famous for her role as ‘Mystique’ in three of the critically-acclaimed X-Men movies.

Booth, 35, is a rising gem in the industry and has starred in the action film based on a superhero comic book series, “Kick Ass 2,” alongside Chloe Grace and Jim Carey. Booth is best known for her roles as Riley Grant on the Disney Channel series “The Famous Jett Jackson” and Claudia on the adventure series “Relic Hunter,” from 1999-2001.

Thanks to my peoples at Premier TV, I had the opportunity to interview TNT’s newest stars. Who would turn down an opportunity to interview actresses who not only have platinum-talent but make perennial appearances on the "sexiest women in the world list"?

I sure didn’t. Check out my exclusive.
