Blake Griffin breaks hand after fight with team equipment staffer

Blake should have learned from Amare Stoudemire. You never fight things related to equipment as you’ll lose. He learned that lesson the hard way.

The Clippers’ star forward is now expected to miss “weeks” after a fight with a team’s equipment staffer.

According to ESPN, Griffin and the team member got into an argument inside of a restaurant in Toronto, where the team was in town for a game against the Raptors. Blake hit the staff member, and after the man went outside, Blake followed him and hit him again.

According to sources, Griffin suffered a suspected fracture in his hand in the incident and the equipment staffer’s face was injured. Both Griffin and the equipment staffer were sent home after the incident.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said at practice this morning that the team would issue a statement on the situation before its game against the Indiana Pacers tonight.
